At the Crisis Center, we believe that every family deserves to live in a world free from violence.

Seeds Of Hope ~ Crisis Center Luncheon

The Seeds of Hope Luncheon was attended by over 300 guests and sponsors who wanted to make a difference in the lives of victims and their children who have experienced family violence and/or sexual assault. The event was held at the Wright Center, Austin College, and featured a style show with clothing from the Thrifty Thrift Shop as well as a Silent Auction. All proceeds went to support the programs at the Crisis Center.

Mistress of Ceremonies was Lisanne Anderson, News Anchor with KXII-TV. Joy Weaver, President of PROTOCOL Enterprises, Inc. and author of the book How to be Socially Savvy in all Situations was the guest speaker.

Thank you to Janet Ventura, Chairman, and her committee for a marvelous event.

The Crisis Center wishes to thank everyone for their support and the generosity of the sponsors and guests.

Volunteer Appreciation Reception

On April 20th, the Crisis Center staff hosted a Reception Celebrating our Volunteers at the Holiday Inn Express in Sherman. The volunteers spent a lovely evening of food, fun and fellowship.

This annual event honors the tireless efforts and generous gifts of time and talent given by our volunteers. You set an incredible example for us all.

Taking pride in our unique contributions encourages us to thrive

THANKS TO THE ELKS LODGE FOR THE CONTINUED SUPPORT

Jim Tucker from the Sherman Elks Lodge presented donated paper goods—diapers, paper towels, Kleenex, cups, plates, garbage bags, Clorox detergent, toilet paper, baby wipes, and soap to the shelter. Jodi Jordan, shelter worker, will be busy dispensing the items to survivors of domestic violence and their children.

We deeply appreciate the donations given to the Crisis Center by the Elks Lodge on a regular basis.

We would like to have your e-mail address so we can communicate with you more frequently and more economically.
